About Marie Brooks-Thomas
As a certified Dog Trainer and animal lover I know how important it is to have the best care for your pets. I live in Hyde Park with my husband Dave, two rescue dogs Jed and Meg, two rescue cats Sam and Barney, and two horses Shaheen and Leto. I remember the worry I used to have when I left town for vacation: Are my pets ok? Who can I trust to take care of them?
That’s why I went back to school to become a certified dog trainer. I graduated an Honor Student at Animal Behavior College. Thanks to them and with the experience I already had as a trainer and dog owner I’m now certified. It took a lot of hard work but was worth it. I also work as a volunteer at the Central Vermont Humane Society. I’m now an instructor there and also an assistant to Kasandra Fleury, who is also a graduate of the Animal Behavior College. With my experience and knowledge and love of dogs I’m doing what I love in life. My goal is to help dogs with behavioral problems so they can be polite and obedient family members.
I train the owner to train their dog with positive reinforcement training. This positive training makes it enjoyable for the owner and dog to learn. Both will look forward to training. To me, nothing is better than keeping a dog in his/her home forever, and with positive reinforcement training this can happen. I have trained all sizes, breeds, and ages of dogs. I really enjoy getting to know the owners and answering any questions they have. Classes are held at my Kennel ,Boarding and Doggie Daycare available. All this in a very clean country setting.
